What's this all about, then?

Touchy-Feely Felt and Sentimental Stuffies
Welcome to Heartsfelt Creative, a blog about fluffy stuff.

People (myself included as a member of the human race) have always been creators. We like making things and are fascinated with our own ability to build, invent and make. In particular, we love messing with tools and coming up with new tools and trying new things to take relatively simple tasks and make them more complicated. One particular arena in which we have perfected the art of complexifying a process is that of crafting.

Crafts in general are something that many people associate with Scout camps or elementary school, but there is a much, much wider world of crafting than just those simple projects. There is an art to making a seam perfect or using just the right amount of seed beads to make a tastefully textured surface. There is more to crafting than simply paste and paper, though they are very popular materials.

Crafts are about creating creatively without having to attach any high-highfalutin pretensions or artist statements to your work. Certainly, you can, but crafts are more about the idea of making something beautiful and letting it be beautiful. It can have deeper meaning, but it can also just be.

So why should I keep reading?
With the global economy in something of a neverending sinkhole, a lot of people are turning to crafting as a means of enertainment, earning extra cash and staving off boredom without breaking the bank. My goal in writing this blog pertains a bit to all three.

I love making things and have recently rediscovered the joy to be found in sheets of felt. This blog is about my experiments with different sewing and crafting techniques. It's about the books and blogs I've read, the things I've made and the tutorials I've stumbled across in my wanderings on the net.

More importantly, this blog is about sharing. I want other people to read it and say
